Oceanfront RV Resorts in North Florida

From Fernandina Beach across the Georgia border in the east to Destin in the west, North Florida is a large land mass. Visitors traveling to the area by RV will have a difficult time deciding which oceanfront or Gulf beach RV park to choose, with white sandy beaches off the Emerald Coast and the relaxing waves of the First Coast. The activities throughout North Florida's beaches are also plentiful, with everything from surfing and bodyboarding to scuba diving and deep-sea fishing. Fernandina Beach/Amelia Island In Fernandina Beach, just across the Georgia border, you will find Fort Clinch State Park providing the only camping grounds in the area. Fort Clinch has two campgrounds, one of which provides oceanfront camping on 21 full-hookup sites. While there, you can take part in a number of outdoor activities to keep you moving and active. Not only are there plentiful beach activities such as swimming and surfing, but there is also a six-mile off-road trail for hiking and biking.

Jacksonville Beach About 30 miles southwest of Fernandina, you will find Jacksonville. Jacksonville is not only a large city with plenty of sports entertainment, but is also home to the St. John's River and Jacksonville Beach. Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park, an oceanfront park in Jacksonville, provides approximately 300 full-hookup campsites with laundry facilities, showers, restrooms and 24-hour security. While there, you can hike and bike the scenic trails, paddle through the waters, surf the waves or walk along the shore of the beach.

St. Augustine Beach About 30 miles south of Jacksonville Beach is St. Augustine, the oldest city in the United States. With an estimated five million tourists visiting the area every year, St. Augustine is home to a number of activities and attractions from the Fountain of Youth and trolley tours to the Lightner Museum. RV travelers will find ocean access camping at Bryn Mawr Ocean Resort, Ocean Grove RV Resort and St. Augustine KOA with full hookups, and all the amenities you could want, from cable television and Internet access to a swimming pool and a tennis court.

Destin To the northwest in the Panhandle of Florida, RV travelers will be pleased to find Destin along the Emerald Coast. You'll experience the beauty of the Gulf Coast with its crystal white beaches and beautiful blue-green waters. Navarre Beach Located just 20 miles west of Destin on the Emerald Coast, travelers will find Navarre Beach. Like Destin, you will experience the white sandy beaches and blue-green waters of the Gulf. Navarre is home to the longest pier in Florida and the Gulf of Mexico. It is the perfect place to fish or just stroll along the scenic waters. Navarre Beach Campground, Magnolia Beach Campground and Emerald Beach Campground all offer full-hookup sites with amenities such as cable television, Internet access, swimming pools, laundry facilities and fitness centers.
